I find it so hard to believe that I’ve already been here in France for 90 days. Some days, it feels like I’ve been here forever and other days, it feels like the days have passed in the blink of an eye. Regardless, these past 90 days have been the most amazing, and equally terrifying, roller coaster ride.
Through the highs and the lows, through the easy days and the days that have proven to be a challenge, living in France has been the craziest, most incredible, beautiful adventure.
When I decided to defer grad school before I got my acceptance to TAPIF, I was so unsure of if I was making the right decision. In my head, it didn’t make sense to turn down grad school for an opportunity, while it could be amazing, that was so up in the air. Now that I am here, however, I am 100% confident that coming to France was the right decision for me.
Being in France has challenged me in ways that I never could have expected but ultimately, this season of growth and self-discovery is something I didn’t even know I needed.
These next two weeks of vacation will be filled with solo traveling, adventuring, and exploring around France. However, I have an important decision to make during this time as well–I have to decide whether or not next year I will return to my graduate program, renew my contract, or do something completely different. Some days, I know exactly what I want to do next year, but other days, I can’t seem to make up my mind.
Henceforth, for those of you praying for me on this journey, prayers over this decision would be very much appreciated, and for those of you who are just along for the ride, good vibes and positivity sent in my direction will be readily accepted.
Until next time,
