Does anyone remember when I started this Learning Something New “series” with this post and I said it was something I wanted to keep up every month (and then it only lasted two months before I ran out of ideas)? Well, today is the day it makes its grand return!
As you can tell by the title of this post, I have been experimenting with bullet journaling (which I’ve learned is commonly known as BUJO in the online/Youtube sphere) for the past few months and I have absolutely fallen in love!

I first learned about bullet journaling from watching random Youtube videos online. The whole idea of combining structure and organization with the flexibility to be creative and make things pretty immediately drew me in. After a little bit of research and quick peruse on Amazon for supplies, I got started.
Some of the YouTube channels and videos that I have drawn inspiration from include:
I love organizing and planning, but the beauty of creating a BUJO – as opposed to a classic planner – is that you have the ability to set it up exactly in the manner you desire, plus you can be as creative with the design portion as you desire.
While I am by no means a doodling or hand-lettering queen, I have had SO much fun learning and experimenting in such a different and creative way. Below are a few photos of the pages I have worked on so far.

I am excited to keep working on finding my niche and style of bullet journaling. Not only is it a fun creative outlet, the drawing of clean lines and the whole process of planning and scheduling is quite therapeutic for me.
And that’s a wrap on the first “Learning Something New” of this new ‘season’ if you will. I am planning on doing a post similar to this in October showcasing my September, October, and November spreads, in addition to highlighting the supplies that I used to get started.
Thanks for reading and check back soon for more.
Until next time,
Michaela
Bullet journaling looks like a great way to unleash your creativity and get organised! I like your ‘highlights’ page – it’s a neat way of bringing together all the things you’ve enjoyed doing in a particular month.
