Where to Next? My Updated Travel Bucket List

The current inability to travel has got me dreaming of the places I’d love to explore, so I figured it was as good a time as ever to dream big and update my travel bucket list. Let me know the place you’d love to visit as soon as it’s safe to do so in the comments below 🙂

**These images are not my own. They were all taken from unsplash.com**

United States

Seattle, Washington

Aside from visiting my sister out in Washington (bonus!), Seattle is the first U.S. city on my bucket list that I would like to hit after travel is safe again.

New Orleans, Louisiana

I’ve heart so many beautiful things about New Orleans that I absolutely had to add it to my travel bucket list. The French-inspired history, culture, architecture, food…need I go on? Sign me up.

Boston, Massachusetts

Inspired by L, this is a destination I would love for he and I to hit together. It’s a huge city and I know there is so much to do; that coupled with all the history, I think it would be so much fun.

Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

I feel like visiting the Grand Canyon is an American staple and I would really love to go one day.

Yosemite National Park, California

Another beautiful national park – just look at that picture. Truly a dream travel destination.

The Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada

I know I could see this very easily from the United States side, but I’ve heard the views are much better from the Canadian side, so why not visit Ontario in process?

Vancouver, Canada

After my parents went to Vancouver about a year and a half ago, I’ve been longing to go out to Vancouver and discover this city. Plus, my parents said they could picture me living there, so I’d love to see what it’s all about.

The beaches, the sun, the culture, the coral reefs…need I say more?

I am very confident I will visit Guadeloupe one day (it’s L’s family most frequently visited place outside France), and I am excited to explore it with them one day.

Lisbon, Portugal

I’ll be honest and say I don’t know much about the history or things to do in Lisbon, but it’s just one of those places I would love to explore.

Caen, France

The D-Day beaches are still up there on my travel bucket list, so Caen would be a must-visit. Also that architecture though…remarkable.

Corsica, France

A dreamy island region under French authority, it would be amazing to spend a long, French summer weekend on this island.

Berlin/Munich/Frankfurt, Germany

I am not so particular of where I visit in Germany, I simply want to go. If anyone has any recommendations on their favorite places to visit in Germany, let a girl know!

Southern Italy

Much like Germany, I don’t have a specific city I am striving to visit in Southern Italy. The whole region just seems absolutely beautiful and relaxing. Now if only I spoke Italian…

Croatia earned a spot on my bucket list during the 2018 World Cup. Honestly, I don’t even think I had ever heard of the country until then, but it looks absolutely beautiful.

Cape Town & Johannesburg, South Africa

I think it would be amazing to visit South Africa. Since it’s such a melting pot of history, cultures, and customs, the diversity and way of life is something I want to experience first hand.

Fiji has been my dream honeymoon destination (hint hint, wink wink, L <3) since I did a project about the island in middle school. I have such idyllic dreams of sitting on a deserted beach, soaking up the sun, and just basking in the beauty that is island life. Hopefully, these dreams will come true one day (again, hint hint, wink wink, L)

Thanks for reading and check back soon for more!

Until next time (stay well),

  1. I highly recommend Seattle. It’s one of my favorite places in the US; I would definitely live there if I could! Lisbon, Munich, and Caen are beautiful, and I would also add Heidelberg (Germany), Honfleur (France), and Le Mont St. Michel (France) to the mix. I likewise would love to visit Chicago, New Orleans domestically, and the Ukraine and Singapore internationally when travel becomes safe again. Hope you’re doing well!

  2. Awesome – thanks for the recs, Rebecca! Chicago is amazing (obviously I’m biased because I go semi-frequently and live near the city) and Singapore sounds incredible! Hope you’re doing well too!
