These past two weeks with V have been filled with good eats, flowers galore, endless puppy snuggles, and sweet and priceless friendship time. While traveling during this pandemic should of course be done with great, great caution (and should be avoided if it can be helped!), I am so unbelievably grateful for this visit. Even though we have been best friends since we were eight years old, we have been “long distance bffs” (if you will) for pretty much the entirety of friendship, and definitely for the entirety of our young adult lives; honestly, it’s been amazing to see how our friendship has ebbed, flowed, and grown over the course of the last 17ish years, but also how we each independently have grown and flourished in our young adult lives. I’m pretty sure that if someone had sat us both down in 5th grade and said, “you two will be lifelong friends and will have done xyz things by the time you’re both 25”, I’m not sure I would have believed it. Before I drone on and get too sappy (it was coming!), I’ll just say this: I am so thankful to have a best friend like V and I wouldn’t trade our friendship for the world.
Here are a few pics of our last few weeks together and I think they serve as a true testament to the first sentence of this post…good food, friendship, flowers, and, of course, the one and only pup herself.
Thanks for reading and check back soon for more.
Until next time,
